If your needs are just a bit above your chosen plan, you don't have to jump straight to an upgrade — just ask for an add-on covering whatever's short.
Extra Quota
Contacts, templates, storage & team seats
Your contact, template, storage, and team-seat limits can all be topped up specifically for your account, on top of the plan's own default — without moving to a pricier plan.
API Access on Starter
Normally Pro & Business only
Just starting out on Starter but already need API integration? It can be enabled manually on request — no need to wait for a Pro upgrade to start testing your integration.
What Do the Numbers on Each Plan Actually Mean?
Every plan has two separate credit types, and they're counted differently — this trips people up, so let's break it down.
Broadcast Credit
1 credit = 1 campaign sent — not per recipient
This credit is spent when you send one broadcast campaign using a template, no matter how many recipients it reaches. Sending to a group of 5 people or 5,000 people costs the exact same 1 credit.
Free-Text Credit
1 credit = 1 reply that actually goes out
This credit is spent every time you (or an automatic reply) send one reply message to a customer — through Inbox, keyword auto-reply, or an OTP code. Counted per message, not per campaign.

Questions About Plans & Credit
Can broadcast credit and free-text credit cover for each other?
No. They're completely separate credit pools that can't cover for each other — running out of broadcast credit doesn't automatically draw from free-text credit, and vice versa.
What happens if my broadcast credit runs out mid-month?
Sending new broadcasts gets blocked until credit resets next month (or you upgrade your plan). Your remaining free-text credit still works normally, since the two are independent.
Can I switch plans any time?
Yes. The moment you switch, both credits reset to the new plan's full allotment — leftover credit from the old plan doesn't carry over, and the monthly reset cycle continues from that point.
Do opted-out contacts still count toward my contact limit?
Yes, as long as their record still exists in the system — the contact limit counts total stored contact rows, not just ones actively receiving broadcasts.
Does my WhatsApp number need to be brand new?
Not necessarily — you can connect an existing WhatsApp Business number through Meta's official Embedded Signup, as long as it isn't already registered on the regular WhatsApp Business App.
My contact/template/storage quota is just a bit short — do I have to upgrade?
No — quota can be topped up specifically for your account, on top of the plan's own default, without moving to a pricier plan. Chat with us to discuss what you need.
Can Starter get API access too?
Yes, it can be enabled manually on request — normally only Pro and Business get API access automatically.
